Upto Now 1946: The Cannes Film Festival debuts in France. 2003: Finding Nemo replaces The Lion King as the highest-grossing animated film of all time. The world's first feature-length film at 70 minutes in length, The Story of the Kelly Gang (aka Ned Kelly and His Gang), premiered in Melbourne, Australia. 1912: Photoplay debuts as the first magazine for movie fans 1934: It Happened One Night sweeps the Academy Awards, winning Best Picture, Director, Actor, and Actress. 1908: The first real horror film, William Selig's 16-minute Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, was premiered in Chicago. 1960: Mughal-e-Azam released. 1962: Marilyn Monroe dies of a drug overdose at age 36.
