2004								Arafat dies (Nov 10, 2004)
2005								Pope John Paul II dies at 84 (Apr 2, 2005) A boy from small-town Poland grew up to become pope, put an end to the Soviet Union and the Red Block and, in the opinion of some, became "the man of the century"
